Anything else?
my mother was admitted to hospital after being diagnosed the day before with .
severe constipation and was in a lot of pain which was quite clear .I am her carer
and she is my mum I care for her 24 hours a day .I spent 7 hours at the hospital
on the sat but was sent home she started screaming again on sunday so after telling at least 4 nurses that we had been in the day before and the diagnoses we were left
in a room with mum making a terrible noise which was very distressing to us after we
finally got some help we asked if we could go home to eat and rest . and asked if they
would keep us informed . and we were sneeringly told they would ring us but they had
no intention of doing so . we only found out in the morning when my husband went in
and we were told then that they do not ring relatives . we were very concerned because
mum has dementia and supranovapalsy means she has trouble even feeding or
doing anything for herself we tried to tell all staff we came into contact with but to
no avail .I went in on the Monday at about 3.30 and she was sat in soaking wet
nightwear and her slippers were full to .on the Tuesday she was sat in the same
nightgown as they put on the day before and her caffeta was swinging under her
leg and she was just slumped in a chair like a rag doll and very uncared for .and
it seemed that not one member of staff was aware of her very special needs
a person with her difficulties deserves better than that
"bad treatment"
