I dialled the 111 service for advice on some nagging aches on the left side of my body. They went through their scripts quickly and calmly and sent me an ambulance to be on the safe side. Paramedics were professional and reassuring as they did a check and then took me to hospital for further checks - just to be safe. At the hospital I was seen quickly and had blood taken and results interpreted and given a further once over by a doctor. From phonecall to getting back home to bed was about 5 hours and some peace knowing that I hadn't had a heart attack or a stroke. Not bad for Easter Sunday night.
