I came here after my doctor sent me over this morning with severe chest pains. I was seen quickly and felt like I actually got a thorough examination as well as a good diagnosis and excellent explanation.

This is following a visit yesterday to Chelsea and Westminster where I was made to wait 3 hours to be seen, was not given a very thorough examination, the staff were rude and my immense pain was dismissed as my lungs probably just being sore due to a recent cough (I have not had a cough in a long while lol). Whilst at Chelsea & Westminster I repeatedly asked for painkillers as I was in agony and waiting for hours to be seen but was never given any despite the nurse saying she would get me some.

However at Ealing (a hospital I would not usually have recommended) it was explained to me what was actually wrong which had nothing to do with a phantom cough I did not have and I was given medication which actually relieved the pain and helped relax the muscles surrounding my lungs so made it easier to breathe. The doctors there were polite, helpful and informative and I am now no longer in agony. I now understand what is wrong and am happy with the treatment and after care I have received.

I have noticed recently, that whenever myself or family and friends have been admitted to Ealing Hospital, we have all been impressed by the level of care we have received as opposed to previous years when the hospital was becoming known for a hospital one might avoid.

I would definitely say the service here has improved immensely and I will feel much happier coming here in the future rather than travelling out of my area to be seen.

It is a shame that there are not any more positive reviews as everyone I have asked seems to have noticed the same improvement.
