I had a sigmoidoscopy and was naturally feeling apprehensive about the procedure but the staff at the centre were first rate. The atmosphere was calm, and I was put at ease by the nurses and consultant. The procedure itself was nowhere near as bad as I was expecting and was over very quickly - probably less than 5 minutes.
