"Disgusted!"

About: Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother Hospital

Anything else?

Being a first time mum i would have expected a bit of support and guidance from someone who calls themselves a qualified midwife. My birthing plan was non existent and the aftercare here is disgusting! The midwifes attitudes are unbelieavably terrible, no consideration for your feelings! Lack of facilities & essentials! One registrar and paedatrician between 2 big wards! Joke! The midwifes spend more time in the offices having a coffee & mothers meeting than caring for their patients! They only come and seen you if you ring your buzzer and even then i have been made to feel like that was a chore for them. Never again at this hospital! Would not recommend to anyone! A nurse from MLU dep is the only credit to this whole place! Been here a week playing the guessing game as you will only ever get your results from any test back if your constantly chasing them! Baby and me home hopefully soon and then will start my letter of complaint and believe you me it's going straight to the top!

Thank you for providing feedback and I am very sorry to hear that you are unhappy with the care you are experiencing. I will try to get Sue Eve's to speak with you before you leave hospital and for someone to contact you to see if you would like to talk about your concerns when you are at home. I will ask the Head of Midwifery to investigate your complaint - we do take feedback seriously and would hope to learn from the concerns you have raised.

Thank you again for your feedback.
