"Grateful Patient"

About: Torbay Hospital

Anything else?

With so much negativity on the services provided by the NHS voiced by the media and the vocal few. Having recently been discharge from George Earle Ward at Torbay Hospital. I feel obliged to sing the praises of all who have been involved from the moment I walked in to A & E having been referred by my GP to the home visit [within 15 hours of being discharge]of the occupational therapist. On arrival at A & E I was assessed and admitted to the unit within 20mins were despite the unit being very busy I was given first rate care, before being transferred to George Earle .The treatment and care from all staff at the unit was unravelled .Then after discharge a member of staff followed up with a home visit to assess and discus any issue’s or needs that I may have. she also arranged an appointment the following day for me to visit the ophthalmologist. First rate! Thank you all.
