"A&E dept"

About: Warwick Hospital

Anything else?

i atteneded the A&E dept yesterday as i was in server pain with my hip. i had been suffering for a few days and it got the point that cudnt evn weight bear. my son attened with me and we saw a doctor who didnt really care what i said after i had told him i hadnt taken any painkillers. his face told the story and he really dismissed what i said. the reason hadnt taken any painkillers is that i have had 2 total hip replacements in my right hip and for 40 yrs i haver lived with the good and bad days. i knew that the pain i was in wasnt just musular or normal pain.and taking an anti imflammatory wud not stop that sever pain every time i moved. i had an xray and he told me that although i was clearly in a lot of pain i hadnt broken my hip (which i knew and was so obviuos!) and tht i should go and see my GP if it didnt get any better. my son had to pratically carry me out of the hospital and i felt a though i was a fraud a a hypoconriac. i have had to take 2nd adxvice as the pain is increasing not decreasing (and yes i have now take ibrufen but its had no effect whats so ever as i knew it wouldnt) and it turns out that ihave the classic signs of Ace yabular loosening and it needs to ne investigated. this said it really isnt easy to spot on an xray but i am know on crutches until this i investegaed by my consultant. walking on a hip that is loosening is not a good thing to do as the damaged that can be caused can be terrible! how can 2 doctors get it so different? i think occassionaly doctos should really listen to their patients and understand that sometimes we actually know or own bodies!!

OmI certainly dont recomened the doctor I saw yesterday and thank god I took a 2nd opinion.
