"My Stay at Worcester Hospital"

About: Worcestershire Royal Hospital

Anything else?

I have had a hip replacement here. I was treated very well from my first meeting at the preop. clinic, to the day of my discharge. The Staff (all of them - from the cleaners to specialists) were kind, friendly and very understanding. There was a happy buzz on the ward and nothing was too much trouble for anyone.

The food was served quickly and was hot and well presented. The portion size was good and I never managed to get through all there was on offer.

The cleaners were constantly dealing with the cleanliness of the ward and all its facilities and a very good job they did.

I noticed that staff always cleaned their hands between patients and the 'drill' for issuing drugs was strictly adhered to.

Representatives from each department came to see me and explain their role and ask if I needed any other help. The physiotherapists were gentle but firm and gave me the necessary confidence to return home, feeling safe.

I would like to thank all members of staff with whom |I had contact; I honestly just cannot understand what there is to complain about.

The nurses work very hard on Hazel elective to give patients the experience they themselves would like to have. We are very proud to deliver a high standard of care and we welcome any responses to improve the patient pathway. We are always encouraged to have such a positive response and it does help with morale. Thank you.
