The service user who was having his bloods taken has a phobia of needles. Due to the consistency of getting the same nurse to draw the service user's bloods he has now built a rapport and a relationship of trust with the nurse. This makes the whole procedure less stressful and a lot easier to conduct.
The Nurse( Linda Barrow) commented that she herself has noticed a big improvement in the service user letting her draw blood. We as support workers believe that this is due to the consistency of care.
