"My son's treatment at Newcastle RVI"

About: The Royal Victoria Infirmary / Paediatrics

(as a parent/guardian),

Having visited my GP with concerns over my 3 year old sons health, I was advised by him to take him to Newcastle's paediatric unit. My GP was concerned he had a rare autoimmune disease after speaking on the phone to the paediatricians.

He gave me a note & advised me to go to ward 6 at the RVI as soon as was convenient.

My experience was fantastic. All the staff were just so fantastic. The facilities were immaculate and my son and our family were made to feel as comfortable as we possibly could in the situation.

Many thanks to all staff involved for their amazing work.

Thank you very much for taking the time to post your comments about your positive experience on Ward 6 at the Great North Children’s Hospital, Royal Victoria Infirmary, Newcastle. We understand that being in hospital can be a daunting experience and all our staff strive to support children and young people and their families/carers.  We have passed on your comments to our staff as it is always very rewarding and motivating to hear from parents.
