"Appointments seem to be cancelled ..."

What I liked

Appointments seem to be cancelled and rescheduled on a regular basis - particularly in Rheumatology. Also contact with any one who knows what is happening is difficult as Admin. cover for the medical team seems almost non-existent.

What could be improved

Get organised and spare a thought for the distress caused to patients. If an appointment does have to be cancelled it would be courteous to advise the patient why.

It would also be useful if follow-up appointment could be made before leaving the clinic. This would save letters having to be typed and the cost of postage.
