"TRAC has overcomplicated a situation"

About: Tamar Referral & Appointments Centre

(as the patient),

TRAC has overcomplicated a situation. Years ago I had a similar problem and was referred by my GP within a week. This time I saw my GP in late August and received an appointment for early October. The major problem was that nobody did anything the week following my GP appointment when I chased the lack of response. If TRAC hadn’t been in place then this would not have happened. Bureaucracy and overmanagement is killing the NHS. Keep it simple, keep it local – do not centralise administration

Dear ‘Spiller520’,

Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your experience of using the TRAC service and I apologise that. At TRAC we are able to contact patients once the GP has completed the referral and offer a choice of appointment location, date and time. Without a few more details about your referral I cannot be sure why there was a delay in receiving an appointment.

If you would be happy to share some more information about your referral with me, please contact me on 01626 883712, I am available from Monday to Friday from 9am until 5pm. Alternatively you can also email me at cab.helpdesk@nhs.net.

Kind regards

Gemma Tremlett
