About: Tamar Referral & Appointments Centre

(as a parent/guardian),

The referral time was excellent. My main concern was the time I had to wait for treatment. Due the the nature of our child’d disability it is too long to wait for an on going health problem. Maybe a fast track treatment for the more vulnerable would be beneficial. We’re still waiting to be seen (as off early feb). Can’t have an available appointment until March, condition is on going from December 2012

Dear ‘Rocket215’,

Thank you for taking the time to share you comments with us about your experience of using the TRAC service, I am glad you felt the referral time was excellent.

With regards to the waiting time for an appointment, your GP will indicate a clinical priority relating to your referral and TRAC will be able to offer you a choice of all available appointments. I would like to assure you that if clinically necessary your chosen hospital would offer to bring the appointment forward. If you have any concerns about your health whilst waiting to be seen at the hospital, we would advise you to contact your GP who is still responsible for your care in this interim period.

I hope this has gone in some way to answer you comments.

Best Wishes

Gemma Tremlett
