What I liked
The staff although very busy were polite and friendly, plenty of hand sanitisers were available, but none that work on an automatic basis, which I consider to be the safer option, as you do not need to touch the top with those. The staff stayed over their normal working hours so that no-one had to go home unseen.
What could be improved
Waiting time in the Eye department needs addressing, on occasions there were no seats available,My notes were in the emergency pile which means you are the last to be seen, I waited for 3 + hours in a corridor which had no ventilation.
Worse for the inpatients who had to wait in their night attire in a wheel chair for similar lengths of time without food or hot drinks, and not being able to access toilet facilities if they needed hoisting. Surely a plan could be arranged to see the inpatients at the beginning of the day and start the outpatients list later, also give people realistic appointment times! Many people had to top up their car parking tickets 3 times. We went by park and ride and were so late that we missed our last bus back.
