I cannot thank the midwives enough @ St Helier for the treatment we received. We were very lucky to have our baby at the Birth Centre in October 2012.

I am overwhelmed that this sort of treatment/facility exists within the NHS. As with any labour, the birth itself was not easy - but I was so glad I placed my trust in the midwives.

They were amazing: )

Thank you for taking the time to let us have feedback about the care you received from the birth centre at St Helier Hospital.

May I start by congratulating you on the birth of your son. I hope he is doing well and bringing you lots of joy.

As you would expect, the midwives, doctors and other staff who work in the maternity unit are committed to providing all mums-to-be (and their partners) with the best possible care. As such, they'll be delighted with your feedback.

The birth centre was designed to allow women to give birth in a more informal setting - a 'home-from-home' environment. The unit has only been open a couple of years and has already proven to be very popular. In fact, we are now opening a similar unit at Epsom Hospital.
