"Patient Power"

About: Shropshire Community Health NHS Trust / Child and adolescent mental health service

(as a volunteer/advocate),

I have just finished a Patient Leader Program held in Stafford through FPM Training. There were patient reps from various PPG's (Patient Participation Groups representing their GP surgey) and we all had some really good experiences to share about good (and a few bad) services/practices.

Patient power is really growing, we are being listened to and we are making a difference. My advice is to either join or contact a Patient group near you and contribute to the Patient Revolution, not just if you have a gripe or concern but to share any good feeling or practices you have experienced.

We are all too quick to moan or criticise but if we can share positive experiences then maybe local issues can become more informed and therefore learn from the feedback.
