Anything else?
I recently had septoplasty as a daycare procedure with an unforeseen night stay being necessary and in short, my experience was amazing. I have not had an NHS experience like this for a very long time.
The hospital was clean, looking afresh and new and was surprised to learn that it wasn't recently refurbished. Hospital procedures were easily recognisable as staff carried them out flawlessly.
All the staff I encountered were not only professional and appeared very happy within their roles but were prepared to go the extra mile for their patients. A credit to them all. Special thanks must however go to a couple of nurses in particular for their exceptional attention and care (Apologies if names are not allowed). A card will be on its way!
I would not hesitate in recommending this hospital to anyone, and infact, would like to see this hospital cloned, several times over! I'm sure there is much other hospitals can glean from it. I hope hospital care like this is still available as I age.
If I may though, a few very, very minor niggles: 1) to have a television / pre-recorded material within the short-term procedure waiting room (level two). It appears people can be waiting for a long time for their procedure and it also looked like a waiting room for paediatrics, so a few children's DVD's may be beneficial? 2) Feedback at the point of sign-in as to when the procedure will start (or where in the queue you are) would have been appreciated. 3) And, a cash point machine somewhere in the hospital would be nice for people who aren't familiar with Kidderminster.
