Anything else?
been diagnosed with cancer was tough enough but the treatment i have just reveived on my recent visit on monday was appalling. first of all when i arrived i was told i needed bloods doing as i never came in completely untrue as i had been in on the friday! then after waiting an hour the doctor shouted someone by my middle name and surname when she went away it clicked was that me they wanted. when i went to reception again yes it was me well how many people answer to there middle name? after some more waiting the doctor shouted me again this time by my proper name. for the last few weeks my tumor markers have been monitored and providing these were falling i wouldny need chemotherapy i knew my last count was 11 and just needed to fall to 9 to be normal. well thia doctor clearly hadnt read my notes or looked at my bloods they told me i would prob need chemotherapy as my bloods werent falling quick enough completely the opposite to what my cancer nurse had told me. they also didnt have the results from my blood test on friday complets waste of time going. i told the doctor i had booked a holidy in june and that i had discussed this with the cancer team when i did they agreed it would be find a good get away after such a difficult time this doctor then told me i would have to cancel it as my chemo wouldnt be finished in time. i went home very distressed and upset at what this doctor had said. i then rung my cancer nurse the next day who told me my tumor markers were now down to 9 which were normal and i would just need a check up every month i told her what the doctor had told me the previous day and they said it was not right and not true they did apologise for my worrying. i will be making a formal complaint and taking this higher. its bad enough to have such a illness but to be treat like i have been is just awful.
"poor treatment"
