(as the patient),

We both have reasons to require referrals for medical treatment. We are both very satisfied and grateful for our G. P’s reaction an actions to arrange and contact Derriford for us.

Most recently I have required referrals for eye and ear appointments, both have been arranged to my mind “speedily” and are being progressed. Neither have required extensive consultation with the GP and my consultant contact is yet to occur, hence my score of 3 for these areas.

I had appointments arranged at Derriford as a result of my GP referrals, plus an eye check up at the new facility on floor 3. The latter was not to the scheduled time but the facilities were very acceptable compared to the Royal Eye Infirmary and the check up was carried out satisfactorily after the delay.

My GP arranged eye appointment for Laser treatment was carried out on time and was very successful.

My GP arranged hearing appointment was first for an assessment again on time and an aid fitting appointment follow up was made for a Saturday am and I am very satisfied with the aids and the attention given.
