Anything else?
When my GP told me that the only treatment I could have involved a stay in hospital I was very anxious due to the consensus that the infection was caught during my earlier stay in another hospital.
I was admitted to ward F10 during the night of Monday/Tuesday 18th/19th February and from that moment onwards I can only say how impressed I am about the treatment I received.
Without exception all staff were caring and patient with me and also other patients in the bay I was in, most were older than me and had a number of health problems including some with incontinence, I never once witnessed anything other than kind and professional care given to all patients.
I would like to make the point here that it was not just health professionals that were kind and caring but all members of the staff.
I feel sure that treating patient this way helps for a more speedy recovery as it stops you feeling so depressed about the stay in hospital.
I must also congratulate the trust on the quality and choice of food offered, never once was I not able to find something to choose and it was always hot enough and delicious.
For the past 6 years all hospital treatment I have had has been in private hospitals (The op in January involved me having a stay in St Peters Hospital, Chertsey ITU for 2 days) and this is the bench mark that I have had in my mind that I felt that all hospitals should be striving for, but I can honestly state that my stay at Frimley Park excelled all my thoughts about a stay in a NHS hospital and was equal to and in some ways were better than the private care I have had.
Please can you pass on my thanks and congratulations to all staff involved in my care.
