"NHS in Crisis"

About: Worthing Hospital

Anything else?

The staff go out of there way to help old people, but unfortunately they do not have enough staff to care aquatically. Old people cant always speak for themselves but fortunately my mother can speak for herself and when in hospital she noticed that the lady next to her had her food taken away before somebody was able to help the lady eat the food it and there was no record that this lady had not had food. My mother had to make the staff aware of this before anything was done. Communication between different types of staff should be improved vastly. I think the hospital is understaffed and I think something should be done about it as this is the most basic requirement for a hospital. I think there should be less administration and more staff on the wards. I do give credit to the current staff as they must be under huge pressure. The staff on the wards are doing an amazing job at holding together what is left of these hospitals and I feel that NHS hospitals are at crisis point. It seems to me that patients have to someone with them to insure that they receive a basic level of care and nutrition.
