I attended for knee arthoscopy on 8th March. The organisation in the day unit was excellent. The attention I received was wonderful. I was escorted through to the waiting area where both the surgeon and the anesthestist came and took me to an office to discuss the procedure. I was taken to the operating theatre and when I came round following the operation I had a dedicated nurse by my side to attend to me until I was well enough to go to the recovery ward. There the staff were very attentive, friendly and efficient. I had a problem with bleeding from one of the incisions which was immediately dealt with. I felt that the whole department was a credit to the NHS.
