About: George Eliot Hospital - Acute Services

Anything else?

My labour was induced, the Induction Suite was very relaxed, midwives very attentive and a pleasant environment overall. My son was delivered on a very busy day before Xmas where I did not actually get a bed, they had to use a room (isolation room) which said 'do not use' on the door. My midwife had to go and fetch all the equipment which she needed whilst checking on me. I delivered within Half an hour of being in the room and the care I received could not have been better. I have had 2 babies at the GEH and would advise expectant mothers to look beyond the dated building and decor as the midwives are all competent, friendly and approachable.
