I opted not to have my throat spayed as I panic if I feel I can not swallow. The nurse was very understanding an said I could have the procedure without the spray. I found the experience very traumatic and I am glad that a friend took me in her car as left and I was unable to stop shaking. I feel the letter should explain you are not well enough to drive after this procedure. It took me until next morning to feel ok. It would have been better if I had been told to sit and wait for a while before leaving as I couldn’t tell you what the doctor said to me at the end of the procedure, I think that my body was in shock.
