"Ovefr a 2 week period, the most appalling level of..."

Anything else?

I attended 20/2/13 for shoulder surgery. unfortunately I had to stay overnight and the "care" I received from the night staff was appalling. They appeared more concerned with "chatting" amongst themselves than doing the job they were there for. I suffered an allergic reaction to drugs received which I alerted a member of staff to and it was ignored although my face was swollen, itchy and blotchy. I was offered no pain relief, food or even welcomed or advised who my nurse was. the follow up has been atrocious, resulting in myself attending the UCC today 6th March 2013, being reduced to tears by arrogant, uncaring, rude staff!! Never again will I attend this hospital, if this is the standard of care they believe is acceptable

I am very sorry for the poor experience you received at the Trust. You should obviously have been able to expect a higher standard of care from us. If you would like to discuss this with someone at the Trust or make a formal complaint please contact our PALS department on Tel: 020 8308 5449 Email: slh-tr.qm-pals@nhs.net Please note that the UCC is run by Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust.
