My son was a patient in the Day Surgery at the Nottingham City hospital in April of this year.
Overall, I was very impressed with the whole experience. The anaesthetist was excellent - my son experienced no pain. The nurses were also very good, as they explained everything in detail to us. The aftercare on the Burns unit was excellent as well.
Unfortunately, the care of the consultant lacked a considerable amount - he did not talk to us after the operation at all, and his manner with us before the operation was, at times, inexcusable. It is a pity that such an excellent team was let down by one of their leaders.
