Anything else?
I was extremely disappointed and appalled when hobbling out of A & E from the Norwich uea hospital, I could not walk without assistance when I went in, my left knee was twice the size of my right, very painful and locked at a 30 degree angle, after waiting 3 hours (which I don't have an issue with, I understand they are very busy) I finally got to see a doctor, he was very pleasant, he pulled my knee about assessed what movement I had and sent me to x ray. Now! This is where I have a problem, not only did I have to walk 100 yards to the x ray room, I had to do it with no assistance, they didn't even look at how I was hobbling about and offer me a wheel chair or crutches, when asked if I could get some crutches, the answer was, well... Um we have to order them from stores!!!
After my x ray was completed, again I had to hobble back the 100 yards to basically be told, you've hurt your knee!! You need to get some pain killers.
Very little explanation, no assistance with getting from one room to another, surely they could of issued a pack of pain killers and some crutches to support me walking, god knows what more damage I have done to my knee throughout this process, I woke this morning in agony, worse than when I went to A & E.
shocking
not good enough
I'm sure it wasn't like this years ago
next time I won't bother them as its clearly to much trouble,
What do I pay NI for?
It's not asking for a lot, attention to detail, I suppose it's a sign society these days,
"Knee injury"
