"Femoral Acetabular Impingement with Labral tear"

I too have been diagnosed with FAI pincer type by a consultant at QA hospital. Had xrays and MRI arthsogram to diagnose. I was told I needed the Arthroscopy but that the PCT deem it low priority and will not fund it. I am trying to get on with my life as a busy mum and student nurse.

I was diagnosed 5 years ago now and am still struggling on, with no hope of getting treatment on the NHS. I have to take daily analgesics to get on with my life and I am extremely fed up now. I see my GP for check ups every so often, but just feel useless, and hate having to take time off work, or not be able to do activities with my son because my hips are playing up. I am currently having to take 100mg slow release tramadol in the morning and 150mg slow release tramadol in the evening, and self medicating on the worst days with extra co-codamol. It should not be like this. I am only 27 years old. I fear that if I do not get this sorted soon I will end up not being able to work, walk, or carry out daily activities with out help. I hope someone can sort this out.
