I just want to say that i cant thank the hospital enough. all the staff from the surgeons to the cleaners as they all play a big part in your recovery.
i would not be alive if Papworth did not do the operation so quickly and waited for my hospital to do it. they are well organized and it was well worth traveling 2 hours to get there you cant put time on the price of your life. i am 45 and was training and keeping fit for all my life when i found out i had the above ,big shock. i new i was in the right place as i done my research and there web sight is very informative if it cant be done here it really cant be done. i know its a bit stupid but eveytime i see my surgeon i know he saved my life and get a bit emotional .recovery seems along time when in hospital and in pain. but for a manual worker i was back to work in three months, six weeks i had walked and jog 3mile
prehaps i should nt have and don t recommend it but it soon goes.i think its harder for loved ones and family because once in surgery you don t know anything about it. well done papworth cant wait to see there new hospital they will be unstoppable
