"A tribute to the NHS - cured my sister of cancer..."

About: John Radcliffe Hospital

Anything else?

After a routine mastectomy test they detected that my sister had breast cancer. She was advised to have surgery and following this the tests showed that she no longer had the cancer. Therefore there was no further treatment necessary and it was the best possible outcome.

The NHS did a fantastic job and save the life of my sister for a second time. (She also had neck cancer when only 7 years of age when in Scotland and had a risky operation and again that was successful)

Thank you for telling us about your sister’s diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer at the John Radcliffe Hospital.

Our patients are at the very heart of everything we do and it is always reassuring to hear positive feedback because it shows us that our patients are benefiting from the practical implementation of our core values “delivering compassionate excellence”.

Our collaboration with the University of Oxford also underpins the quality of the care that is provided to all patients which includes the delivery of high-quality research bringing innovation promptly from the laboratory bench directly to our patients.

Your sister’s story is an inspiring one and we hope she continues to progress well in the future.
