"Pharmacy hours at Weston Park Hospital Sheffield"

I am undergoing a regime of chemotherapy at Weston Park Hospital Sheffield, and find that if my prescription is written up any later than about 1230 then it doesn't get prepared until after 2pm as the pharmacy is closed 1300 to 1400hr.

I do so agree that ALL staff should have lunch time but other hospitals have staggered times and keep a reduced staff on duty. The chemotherapy can't be written up until my blood results are known and has to be made up fresh as the chemicals deteriate with time.

As an example on Tuesday I didn't get my treatment until 1530 missing my Medicar at 1500 and 1600 so not getting home until after 6pm; from 8am is a long day.

Having said all this the staff in the chemo suite are WONDERFUL!
