Anything else?
Due to an accident i had in November 2012 i had no option but to attend the hospitals A & E department. Unfortunatly for me i was taken to \South Shields district hospital. I can honestly say, the only nice part of attending the hospital, was the being booked in at the reception. It was all down hill from there. I have never known staff who are meant to be of a careing and sympathetic nature be so ignorant. I felt as if they didn`t believe that i had actualy been ivolved in an accident. I felt that they where reluctant to even check me out. They sent me on my way advising me to take pain killers with out so much as laying a finger on me. I left that hospital in absolute agony and had to go to another hospital, in order to be seen again. This time i went to the QE which didn`t do much better. After several weeks of being ignored i was finaly diagnosed with a spiupraspinatous tear. Which basically meant my rota cuff muscle was shreaded which prevents me from moving my arm forward or to the side, and causes excrutiating pain. If the staff at south tyneside district could have been bothered the day i attended, my problem could have been diagnosed there and then, and i would probably be on the road to recovery by now. As it is i have been off work now for 4 months, and still being mucked about by them. I am in the process of transfering to a more suitable hospital, and hope i never have to be dealt by them again. I`m not saying that all the staff suffer from that attitude, but the ones that dealt with me on that day, and since should maybe get rid of their ignorance .
"never known such ignorance"
