With a terminal illness I have been in and out of the Cumberland Infirmary too often, but every time I am amazed and grateful for the care and attention devoted to me. The stafff are not just professional, but very compassionate. So maybe the food isn't great, but that's not why I go there. And yes they could certainly do with more staff, but you never hear them complain, and somehow they get to see everyone. If only the other patients could show a bit more gratitude.
