"Maternity and A&E"

About: Basildon University Hospital

Anything else?

I recently gave birth to my baby daughter and found the staff and services at the maternity ward were exceptional. The staff were really calm and had everything under control. They allowed my mother and sister to wait outside in a room whilst I had her. My partner stayed the night with me after and this really helped. Nothing was a problem for them and they assisted with any issues or concerns I had. A special thank you to the midwife who delivered my daughter and kept me calm and focused at all times.

I have also visited A&E on 2 occasions with her and the paediatrics and Penguin ward staff have been fantastic. Her care was very thorough and they kept us informed at all times of what was going on. I would like to thank them all for the care they gave my daughter. Words cannot say how grateful we are to them.
