"blood testing"

About: Queen Victoria Memorial Hospital (Herne Bay)

(as the patient),

I went for a blood test and was greeted by a seemingly very grouchy nurse who then took my blood sample (not too carefully I might add). She then put a cottonpad on the area and a strip of tape.

By the time I had got home approx 5 min later the pad had come off and there was blood all down the arm and the clothes I was wearing were ruined. It is not the sort of service one would expect from a caring NHS.

Thank you very much for taking the time to feedback. I am sorry that you experienced care that was short of our expectations of staff.

Please do let me know if you would like to tell us more about your experience so that we can feedback directly to the staff member on your behalf.

You can contact me by email on Julie.pearce1@nhs.net and I will arrange for you to speak with an appropriate person responsible for the service.
