"Cancelled appointments"

My appointments have now accumulated to an 11 month wait to see my Neurologist to follow up on an MRI scan he ordered.

My last appointment was in late June 2012 I was referred for relapse and had an MRI  in late July 2012

Booked appointment for mid November was cancelled and rebooked for early January.

The January appointment was cancelled and rebooked for late March.

Letter received today (which was bizarrely dated the 14th Dec? )  now states cancellation of late March and a new date for late May 2013

This means that since seeing my neurologist who ordered an MRI back in June, I have not had chance to see him regarding my results. I will have had the spinal surgery he referred me for but I haven't discussed this or any affects on my illness from surgery or the scan.

As someone with a long term chronic neurological condition, I feel that regular contact with appropriate consultant is fundamental for disease management.

We all need equal, long -term, reliable care that helps the patient maintain a decent quality of life and in my opinion this is not happening currently.

To patients like me neurology is the *God* of my illness..
