I was admitted for surgery to the gynaecology ward and stayed in for 2 nights. I was involved in my treatment from the outset and throughout my stay staff were available, as helpful as possible and a delight to meet.

My operation was delayed a couple of hours and I waited in a bed in the waiting room (!) before going down to surgery but was made to feel as comfortable and relaxed as possible - this was an example of how stretched the NHS is overall and no fault of this hospital.

I was amazed by the almost continuous cleaning of some part of the ward or other.

This hospital met and in some cases exceeded my expectations.
