Anything else?
My Great Grandmother was admitted following a possible stroke, despite her being 92 and in need of additional care due to her weakness in her left side, she was put in a high bed with no 'cot sides' as far as I am aware, legal requirements are that people over 70 should be put in low beds with sides up. Due to the bed she was assigned she fell out during the night. Doctors then suggested her bruising was from falls at home, the falls she had were during the care at Durham and she also fell in the toilet as she was left unattended despite being told by the family she 'was to walk with supervision', this is not the first time this has happened, other family members have fell out of these high beds with no sides and broken hips.
The hospital was always favoured by our family for its care, however after these situations I have been left angry and in hindsight should have rang Social Services.
"Not happy"
