"Walk In Centre"

About: Haywood Hospital

Anything else?

This is the 1st time I have attended the Walk In Centre for myself (other times being for my children).

Nurse that I saw was so disinterested that I felt like I was wasting her time, was told to take a urine sample test & she would come & get me after 15/20 minutes. Nearly an hour later I had to say quite loudly to my husband how long we had been waiting so as to be overheard by a member of staff, funnily enough 20 seconds later a healthcare assistant asked for my sample. 15 minutes later the same healthcare asked for another sample as she had forgot to test for something.

Again, another 15 minutes later I was called by a male nurse who again, talked to me as though he thought there was absolutely nothing wrong with me & just said 'if it happens again feel free to come back'.

Needless to say, I will never go back, I came out feeling like the pain I had gone through was just in a dream & I was making it all up.

I work in the health sector myself & am disgusted with the treatment of the Walk In staff.

Anyone needing Walk In treatment my advice is to go elsewhere even if it means travelling further, it will be less humiliation & hopefully more professional.
