Anything else?
Over the last few months I have been an in, day and out patient at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital. NHS Foundation.
During that time I have been seen, treated and served by a wide number and variety of staff. I have had several examinations and tests, 2 ERCP procedures and a cholecystectomy laparoscopic.
At all times and in all areas of the hospital I have been attended with thoughtfulness, care and kind consideration as well, as far as I can judge, with expert medical attention.
I have to be particularly grateful to the doctor and his team in the Gastroenterology Unit and likewise to the doctor and his team in the Department of General Surgery, but I am grateful to all the staff in wards and departments with whom I came into contact.
At all times both myself and my partner were impressed with the efficiency and attitude of the staff and at no time was this more evident than when we arrived at 07.00 on a very snowy and cold Monday morning, January 21st, to realise that many staff had walked to the hospital over fields and along fairly difficult roads to be able to be at their posts in the hospital and in this case to enable me and others to have the treatment scheduled for that day.
All too often do we read and hear of the NHS and hospitals being adversely criticised, I am pleased to be able to redress the balance a little.
Very many thanks to all concerned
"Thoughtfulness, care and consideration"
