" I am being treated for this at Weston Park Hospital"

About: Weston Park Hospital

(as the patient),

Following a traffic accident in July 1970 I required a blood transfusion to save my life. I didn’t realise that the blood I received was infected with Hepatitis C. Also I received multiple injuries that kept me in hospital for around a year. These injuries included fractures to my arms and knee, several ribs, spinal and hip injuries. I had a total hip replacement in 2008.

The Hep C disease became apparent some years later when my liver failed and I had to have a liver transplant. The operation was carried out in 2004 at st. James Hospital in Leeds and was very successful.

Since then my general health has not been very good and I was informed that I had GIST Stomach Cancer about 6 months ago. I am being treated for this at Weston Park Hospital. I am awaiting the results of a CAT scan at the present time.
