Anything else?
I went to the A&E suffering from severe pain when breathing which was so bad that it was beginning to affect my asthma and making even walking difficult... after waiting 2.5 hours just to see a triage nurse after witnessing many others who arrived after me with minor ailments go in before me i was eventually seen. It was another hour before i was taken into a cubicle to be seen by a doctor..only to be told by this doctor who did not bother to examine me .. but instead made a snap decision to put me on a nebulizer even though i had told him i had taken one when i left home ... and that it was not my asthma that was the problem but the pain in my chest and ribs and back. I also informed them that i had been in a wheel chair for four years .. all of this was ignored ... after i had finished a nebulizer i did not need ... i waited another hours ... it was at the 5 hour mark when my painkillers had worn off and there appeared to be no end in sight to this nighmare that i decided to go home .. get some pain killers at home and try again the next day ... but at the Derby hospital instead!!!
