Anything else?
I am a regular patient at the Lung centre & Heart Centre and I find the treatment I receive first class.
However I have a blue badge and use the car park for disabled drivers.
Today I visited and had really stressful visit due to the method of chrging for this car park.
Bearing in mind walking is very difficult for me, I parked my car then noticed the charge machine, which told me I needed pay for a specific time before leaving my car, I paid what I regard as the rather high charge of £3 for 2 hours then had to walk back to my car and place the ticket in it, then back across the car park and onto the clinic.
I then endured a wait of 2 hours to see my consultant, I was worried I would be given a ticket when my time ran out but couldnt leave clinic to repay for some more time, I find walking difficult thats why I have a blue badge so cannot go backward and forwards in and out of the car park.
I believe you are treating disabled visitors in a worse manner than the able bodied visitors as they can pay as they return to their cars.
I beleive you are in breach of the disability dicrination act
"disabled parking charges"
