I wanted to take the time to say what a wonderful birthing experience I had in the birthing centre! From the moment I went in to MAU the care and support was amazing! As a first time mum I was listened to and staff went above and beyond to look after me and give me individual and appropriate support! The birthing centre was a wonderful place to give birth! The facilities were clean, modern and brand new and staff were encouraging and really helped me to relax - the atmosphere throughout my labour was positive, calming and at times humorous! We look back now fondly at the laughter during the labour (mainly between staff and my husband at my expense!) I can't thank or praise the staff enough! The aftercare I received was fantastic by both hospital and community midwives and the support I received was amazing - again staff going above and beyond! My son is now 12 weeks old and looking back I don't know how I would have got through those first 4 weeks without the wonderful maternity team! A massive and heartfelt thank you!
