Following my short stay after a planned procedure I have been very pleased with the care I have received from all the staff at the LGH. From my initial admission to ward 20 on the day of the operation, the care of the anaesthetists, the consultant performing my operation, the superb staff who were by my side in recovery and the staff on ward 26 who took great care of me until I was well enough to go home. I witnessed the hardwork and caring nature of an incredibly busy team and until my first hand experience I had never really appreciated the number of staff and planning and care that goes in to a patients treatment. I would not hesitate to recommend the Leicester General Hospital and thank all the staff that were a part of my care.
