In January 2012 I was admitted to the acute stroke unit from the A&E dept. The care I received was second to none.
In July 2012 I was again taken to A&E dept. by ambulance for a high heart rate. It was on a sunday and for five hours several doctors worked on me and eventually I was stabalised and admitted to the HDU ward. The staff worked so hard and nothing seemed too much trouble. I cannot thank them enough.
During this time I had been diagnosed with secondary breast cancer. The appointments for treatment were made promptly and within 2/3 weeks from diagnosis I was receiving chemotherapy. Mrs Allerton, ( the oncologist) and her team were very committed to patient care and so supportive. I cannot put into words how good the treatment and after care I received from Mrs Allerton and her team has been. The treatment is still on-going and I have nothing but admiration for Mrs Allerton and her team.
