"Father Lost A Toe"

About: York Hospital

Anything else?

My father took poorly at christmas 2012 he was admitted to harrogate hospital with a bad foot and confusion at harrogate hospital he was transfered to york hospital on to the vascular ward where he was told he would have to lose his toe due circulation problems in his foot and a very serious infection which should of been picked up harrogate hospital which is why i have put a formal complaint in against harrogate hospital.when me and my family arrived at york hospital to see my father we were made welcome the second we arrived the staff explained everything that was happening with my fathers treatment which resulted in my father having his toe amputated which could of being avoided if picked up earlier at harrogate hospital.I would just like to say a very big thankyou to all the staff on the vascular ward at york hospital who made us feel welcome when visiting my father they kept us informed on what was happening with my fathers treatment and even let us chat to him on the phone when he was sat with the nurses at the nurses desk nothing was to much trouble for them its just a shame my father couldnt stay there any longer he has had to return to harrogate hospital.I would be grateful if you could pass this message on to the staff on the vascular ward they deserve a big pat on the back for all there hard work.
