My daughter is 15 and we have had good care from out local GP practice recently (Oswald Road Medical Practice). The point about this story is that it was repeated ordinary care but with continuity and care for the individual. First, she had a knee injury at school sports...the GP did a good examination, and investigated what local service would help her best. Her GP wanted to discuss having the new HPV vaccine in advance of general release. The doctor and nurse had good information and were helpful in making the arrangements needed. Thirdly, she was ill when doing exams. Again, the practice provided a rapid appointment and relevant letters etc. Seeing the same small number of people close to home was effective efficient and friendly. More of the same please for everyone.
