Anything else?
I had the misfortune to become an inpatient on Ward 17 in October 2012.
This was a ward I worked nights on back in the early 80's when it was classified as a Geriatric Acute Assessment ward.
I was amazed at the transformation of the whole ward & also the room I was allocated to which was previously the Bathrooms areas. It was bright & modern.
All the staff from cleaners to Nurses were wonderful. The meals were excellent & apart from fact I was there to recover, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. It was as good as being in a hotel. The only thing I missed was not having my own hot drink facilities.
One of my sisters' used to be a Senior Ward sister on this ward & I couldn't wait for her to vist so I could show how it had been modified.
Thank you to all of you
Thank you too the the Ambulance crew who took me in & the A & E Dept.
Note difficult to decide where to place this in the "Which Dept did you visit" soplacing it in A & E being asthis is where I started my journey.
"Very impressed"
