NHS Direct arranged an appointment for my son at the hospital for an allergic reaction. We saw a doctor who checked the symptoms and sent him to the ward (Koala) Paediatrics. They checked him over, checked he was on the right medication, and kept an eye on him for a bit. Once it was clear his condition was settling down we were sent home with some medication. Also given clear instructions what do if symptoms came back over the next 24 hours. Within 2 working days we were sent a follow up appointment. He has been fine since and we were really impressed with the way we were looked after. Nurses and Doctors were all very patient and helpful and we are very grateful.
